Migrating Birds of Prey

One of Port Dickson's more famous international nature offerings is the annual "Raptor Watch Week" which occurs in March of each year.
Here is a link to their web site

Despite the poor standard of facilities for visitors, this annual event coincides with the migration of birds of prey (raptors) between southern and northern hemispheres, as far as Papua New Guinea to northern Russia.

For bird watchers, this migration offers opportunites for spectacular photography and watching on bird species not seen in Europe.

The PNB Ilham Resort is the closest hotel within a short walk to the area where the birds can be seen. The Cape Rachardo lighthouse can also be visited from within the sanctuary.
